Oltrepò Pavese Metodo Classico DOCG
The first recognition for Oltrepò Pavese Spumante wine, vinified with the Classic Method, dates back to 1970 as a type of the Oltrepò Pavese DOC. From this type in 2007 the DOCG Oltrepò Pavese Metodo Classico was born. The birth of a DOCG for the classic method sparkling wine derives from the history and quality of Pinot Nero grown in the territory of Oltrepò Pavese.
The first Traditional Method Pinot Nero has been made by Conte Vistarino in 1865.
