L’Aura is the first modern Schiava Gentile to be made at Botticino. In fact, their land was once used, especially in past centuries, to cultivate this generous grape and then make a single-variety wine with its medium-large bunches. The grapes are harvested by hand in late September.
They have set out to recover this lost tradition and adapt it to modern vinification methods. The grapes are gently destemmed and the skins are left in contact with the must for just one hour, to enhance the delicate fragrances and reduce tannin.

They produce only a few bottles of this fresh, young, light-coloured wine, which reflects and underlines the distinctive features of their territory, such as the marly terrain (limestone and clay) which boosts minerals and sapidity. It is a perfect summer wine, delicious with delicately flavoured dishes and freshwater fish.

Noventa
Noventa is the home of BOTTICINO DOC, a blend of native Italian grape varieties. They mainly use Barbera and Sangiovese, with a little Marzemino and a little Schiava Gentile. The Botticino land is an amphitheatre of hills arranged in the form of a horseshoe, open towards the south.
