26.00

The wine that is most representative of Cantarutti Estate, made with their own unique blend of tocai friulano, pinot bianco and sauvignon.

A symphony of cedar-wood, apricot, peach, tropical fruit and spicy white pepper and herbs.

Elegant and beautifully fresh, with an addictive hint of sapidity.

Canto has a bright, deep pale yellow colour; the fragrance is fresh, fruity, intense and pleasant; these characteristics are kept also in the mouth, where tropical notes, together with sweet citrus fruits and banana notes, are perceived. The final is intense, persistent, elegant and above all, satisfying.

In order to obtain softer presses and longer fermentations – above all controlled by a suitable temperature – selected yeasts are added, using oenological technical and very advanced equipments.

The fermentation is done separately for all the musts; it occurs at a controlled temperature, 16°C, for a 15 – 20 days. At the end of this period, a couple of decanting is made: this process allows to each single wine to clear itself gradually without suffering further stress.

Canto is generally created on April, after careful estimates on the percentage of the wines to be used, and then, at the end of the month, it is bottled. This wine has a great stability and it is a very easy drinkable one, above all after one or more years from bottling.

ABOUT THE WINERY

A family business from '60

More than forty years ago the Cantarutti history as Friulian winemakers began. It was the end of the ‘60s when Alfieri Cantarutti was mesmerised by a magnificent location with a small farmhouse, set among the foothills of Rosazzo: a stunning position and a breathtaking landscape.

Passion for the territory and respect of traditions are the keys of Cantarutti success.
