Vernaccia di San Gimignano DOCG

Vernaccia di San Gimignano DOCG refers to two types of white wine, basic and reserve. Vernaccia di San Gimignano DOCG wine in the reserve type must be subjected to an aging period, also in wood, of at least 11 months and before consumption, to an aging period three months in the bottle. For both wines the colour is straw yellow with golden rilessi that are more accentuated with aging. At the olfactory level there are delicate aromas with fruity fragrances that can with aging evolve into spicy and mineral notes. On the palate the wines taste dry, harmonious, savory, sometimes with characteristic almond aftertaste.
