Botticino DOC

Botticino is a small town in Brescia famous for its top-quality marble. From 1800 it’s also an area of great wines, perfect climate for a wine that reminds characteristics of a Piedmont friend, Barolo. The vineyards sit on the marble which gives to the wine an unique taste, intense flavour and minerality.

Botticino DOC has a ruby red colour, intense and persistent scent of fruit, vanilla and pepper. The taste is dry, balanced, soft and velvety, moderately tannic and persistent.

The wines of the appellation Botticino DOC must be obtained from the grapes of the following grape varieties: Barbera (30%), Schiava Gentile (min 10%), Marzemino (min 20%), Sangiovese (min 10%) and other red local grape varieties.
