Mario Mazzitelli, owner of Lunarossa winery, combines tradition to innovative winemaking processes working with native Campania grapes: Aglianico and Fiano.
Lunarossa wines age in amphora, same benefits as the barrique but without the "wood" taste. The result is a complex wine full in fruit and aromas.

Mario, helped by the winemaker Fortunato Sebastiano, came up with an innovative way to age his wines: the Amphora. And Mario spent few months looking for the best quality Amphora, going from Campania up to the North Italy, where his amphoras are custom made for him. The amount of clay and the pressure of it make a big difference on the final product.
