Born as the “second wine” of the Farm, starting in 2008, in view of the increasingly consistent quality of sapling plants, this wine has become in all respects the reserve par excellence of the appellation Romagna Sangiovese Superiore.
Its important drink, but still able to match even more informal situations, makes it a wine of pleasant use and usable even by less experienced palates. In some vintages, to enhance its fruity character, without losing reference Sangiovese, small percentages of merlot can be introduced, never more than 5 -6%.View more information

Since the 2003 vintage, after a series of tests begun in the 1990’s, we have re-introduced, for certain lots of red wines, a fermentation in the barrels themselves, with a manual punching down of the cap and no control of the temperature. And this, even more than in the past, to give the final word to the grapes, and to the soil and site in which they grow and ripen.
