Alcova is one of the most beautiful suite of the great manor situated in the middle of the Conte Vistarino estate, decorated in a wonderful cardinal red. That’s why they use the name Alcova for this purple wine!
In Vistarino family this special room, decorated in a cardinal red, is very reputed because here was born the Count Carlo. The Croatina grapes come from the area surrounding the San Carlo farm, facing south at an altitude of around 250 meters. The Vineyard is spread on 12 hectares and the soil is mostly silty (64%), clayey (28%), sandy (7%) and stony (1%).
Colour: deep ruby red with violet hues.
Nose: rich, wide, ripe grapes aroma, appealing and vinous with red fruits scent.
Tate: fizzy, smooth, medium body, pleasant freshness and balanced in alcohol and acidity.
Alcova is the elegant release of a very traditional wine:
Loyal with “terroir” and “tradition” but full of contemporary elegance!

Conte Vistarino

His work was taken further by Ottaviano and Carlo, and is today in the hands of Ottavia Giorgi di Vistarino.
