Romagna Albana DOCG
The appellation Romagna Albana DOCG is reserved for wines made from Albana grapes for at least 95% and coming from the area straddling the provinces of Bologna, Forlì-Cesena and Ravenna, which has its own centerpiece around the chain or “vein” of the “Spungone”, a geological formation extending from Faentino to Cesenate, constituting the first visible relief from Via Emilia. This dorsal, yellowish in colour sometimes very charged, stands out and emerges among the surrounding hills, mainly clayey in nature, due to its composition.
