Biferno DOC
The climate is strongly influenced by the presence of the nearby mountains, so the discipline dictates the maximum altitudes at which to place the vineyards, which are 600 meters for the white grapes and 500 meters for blackberry ones.
The most important white grape variety Trebbiano Toscano (65 -70%), followed by Bombino bianco (25 -30%) and Malvasia (5 -10%). Red wines and rosé wines are based on Montepulciano (70 -80%), followed by Aglianico (10 -20%). The minimum alcohol content of wines expressed as potential alcohol must be 13%. Low acidity and great structure, with great influence of the heat of the sun and sea breezes.
