Giava is a Corvina 100%, bright ruby colour, speckled with a little garnet. It strides out on the nose with a gentle yet purposeful gait, immediately revealing warm, sweetish sensations of small ripe fruits – including black cherries, raspberries and a hint of blackberries which then give way to inebriating scents of red roses and violets and finally conclude with spicy and balsamic notes that are reminiscent of resin, bark, pepper and juniper. In the mouth, it offers a juicy, mouth-filling flavour, underpinned by satisfying freshness and velvety tannins that delicately dry out one’s palate, preparing it for the next sip.

Dafne (Corvina 80%, Rondinella 20%) is a vibrant ruby red, shot through with translucent purplish highlights. On the nose it offers a rich bouquet of fragrances, in which you can perceive red roses, geraniums, ripe red cherries, sweet wild strawberries, a suggestion of black pepper and a balsamic tone. On the palate it is tight yet mouth-filling, with an appealing freshness, marked tanginess and gentle, well-integrated tannins that all lead into a delicate aftertaste.
