A grand ambassador for the territory and history of Friuli, this unique wine made from an ancient indigenous grape displays lively tannins and spices, combined with notes of black cherry and plum, leather and licorice.
Bottling takes place only when the wine reaches its best quality, usually in early summer. After bottling, it is necessary a further period of bottle aging (at least 6 months).

After racking, the must is left in steel tanks to let the lees go down and stabilise. Then it is transferred in new French barriques of 225 lt, where it remains for 48 months. Here happens the malolactic fermentation which takes place spontaneously and lead to a softening of the tannins.
